The MT386 standard also requires the tested sample to undergo flame retardant tests that meet the requirements of GBT18380. -2022 "Fire Test for Cables under Flame Conditions, Part 11: Vertical Combustion Method for Single Insulated Wire or Cable" and GB/T18380-2022 "Fire Test for Cables and Optical Cables under Flame Conditions, and Vertical Flame Spread Test for Vertically Installed Bundled Wires and Cables". Testers must thoroughly read MT386-2011 and its appendices, be familiar with and master the requirements of the standard for sample preparation, installation, and combustion device operating procedures, in order to successfully complete this test.
